Hāwea Food Forest 

The Hāwea Food Forest occupies approximately one hectare on the northern boundary of the Domain. It is a community garden where Hāwea residents grow fruit and vegetables on plots modelled on the English allotment tradition — ideal for those living on smaller sections without much room for a garden of their own. The Food Forest has been attracting increasingly enthusiastic support from the community and is a cornerstone of life at the Domain.
